Momentarily Mystified by an Eternal Mystery
I look and peer.
Crane and twist.
All that I seek,
Lie on Frosty Window,
Eluding me...
The mirror reflects,
All but me,
Mocking me...
Where am I?
The circle, I perambulate each day.
Stopping at the grey drugstore.
Passing by the salon.
Stopping at the flashing red.
Passing by the aged pool.
At last,
Slipping into the stream,
And
Leaving my mind...
When shall I find,
A river that runs,
A complete circle,
With a lasting glow?
No breaks, not stops,
Just one smooth flow,
Shallow and light.
