Why Did My Dreams Lie..?

In dreams, i saw that love could be,
A chance for a new life to start,
A vision of forever, for you and me,
You opened the door and entered my heart.

And then the music began to play,
Sweet sound's of an angel's melody,
I knew our love was here to stay,
From God my angel was sent to me.

My dream were filled with perfect bliss,
You loved me and I loved you,
I knew it was true from our first kiss,
And in my dreams you knew it too.

But from my dreams I awoke in fear,
All I could do was sit and cry,
I heard the word I was afraid to hear,
The night you told me goodbye.

Like a dagger cutting my heart,
I was faced with the pain of reallity,
In a moment my whole world fell apart,
With that single word you said to me.

Never again will such a love I find,
The sorrow has left my soul to die,
Now a question burns in my mind,
Why did my dreams have to lie?
