The Shadow of my Heart!

The days have passed so quickly
The time is hard to bare
So here I stand on death's black hill
Beneath the cold moons stare

So many times I've wondered
If the love I feel is true
If all the things I've done are worth it
Just so I can be with you

The night is getting colder now
The wind chills me to the bone
So top this hill I watch and wait
Accepting that my soul's alone

Storm clouds now are forming
And they steal the moon from view
The moon's pale ghost is shining through
The hill's black color turns to blue

And so I stand alone here still
Ever waiting for my soul to return
Ever waiting for my love to find me
O, when will I ever learn

Until that day I'll be right here
This night will never end
Until that day, my world is empty
With only longing to be my friend

In this world the night reigns free
It is the only thing that lets me be
The only thing that's making me
The lonely one I am
I am no longer human
As my blue tears turn to dust
I live because it's all I have
I breathe because I must

How is it that one emotion
Can kill you in so many ways
How is it that one heartbreak
Can haunt you till your ending days

How can the eyes of another
Bring you so much joy and pain
How can that one pure perfect smile
Make you go Insane?

All these things I ponder
As I wait upon the hill
But the answers all escape me
As I fight the urge to kill

My thoughts just all turn violent
The frustration's hard to bare
The stars above all see my pain
But none will ever care

But finally I come upon the answer
The one I've searched for from the start
My life, my love, my soul, my mind
All lie within the shadow of my heart.
